Jewitch: Seeking the Divine

So Tired of Bigots and Fools

I watched a video today of overgrown man-child Elon Musk—pretty sure it was on Fox News—whining about people being mad at Tesla because of the dumb shit he’s doing.

Of course, he has absolutely zero self-awareness or even a shred of humanity in his overstuffed, fridge-shaped frame—like a malfunctioning smart appliance desperately trying to prove it’s human. So instead of reflecting, he lashes out at Governor Walz and asks, “Who derives joy from this?”—referring to Tesla hemorrhaging money.

To which I say: I derive much joy from this!

For years, right-wingers have screamed “Go woke, go broke!” and loved boycotts—gleefully sticking it to any company that didn’t fall in line with their backwards-ass worldview. But the moment it’s “Go Fash, Lose Cash,” suddenly, they’re crying foul. How very dare you!

Funny how that works.

Now, this might not be the deepest or smartest take in the world, but it’s what’s on my mind: We’re watching people get deported (or face deportation attempts) for allegedly not showing the proper deference to this country. And yet—let’s be real—Elon Musk is not from America. He came here just like the very people they’re trying to kick out.

What’s their crime? Not falling in lockstep with the “Israel can do no wrong” mentality. And now, they’re being targeted. Meanwhile, this bloated changeling actively works to dismantle American democracy—an act that, in my opinion, borders on war or treason—but he gets to stay?

Students and others exercised their legal right to association and protest, and they’re the ones facing expulsion? Make it make sense.

And what’s worse—no one on the right gives a shit, because “owning the libs” is apparently worth more to them than democracy itself. Repugnant.

You can have your debates about how money should be spent, whether programs need reform, and the best ways to implement policy. Fine. But at the bare fucking minimum, you should be able to look at what’s happening and say: This is not normal. This is not okay.

Our so-called Greatest Generation fought—and some paid the ultimate price—to keep fascism off our shores. The very least we can do is honor their sacrifice by refusing to let it take root now.

But that’s not what’s happening.

And it makes me so fucking sick.
