Loss for words
I am not going to make this polished. I am just going stream of consciousness.
Since the Murder of Renee Nicole Good by ICE I have been in a state of Anger. A state of Anger, mixed with sorrow, and honestly a dash of Nihilism. How can we continue to take this constant assault from every direction. Immigrants, People of Color, Women, LGBT (Especially the T), Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, pretty much every non-white non-christian men are under assault in one form of another. Every day we see rights being stripped away, hateful rhetoric verging on calls to violence, illegal moves on the international scene (heres looking at Iran and Venezuela and the threats to Mexico, Greenland and Canada) economic assaults to the world Economy with the dumb ass tarrifs.
Then you get to the mobilization of the National Guard and ICE to American Cities when the Cities in question have said we don't need nor want you here. The murder of Renee Nicole Good was planned. I don't mean specifically her in a "False Flag" type way. I mean someone like her, that they could use to start the kindling as a pre-text to enact Martial Law like they have been toying with for months.
What they are hoping for is the anger around this will boil over and bam they have their justification to deploy the Military and squash anything resembling dissent. And we CAN NOT give that to them. I don't know what the answer to any of this is, if there is even an answer. But I know handing them the pre-text they are seeking is not the way.
I hate to admit that I have found myself more and more lately asking what the hell is the point? I have been screaming for the better part of 18 years about the direction we were heading. But no one listened. I was told I was hyperbolic. I was told I was an alarmist. I was called a nutjob. But I look now and think, what if people actually listened to me and those like me, WELL before this point.
I mean if you think Trump was a sudden aberration and not a very well placed peace in the road to their true end goal, I have a bridge to sell you. This was what the architects of the current GOP Leaders have been working towards since Gingrichs time if not even before then.
Project 2025 didn't just pop up in the past 10 years. This has been the long game. They have been putting this shit into place for over 30 years. And they're not done. And it won't end with Trump.
I have said to those who are saying "Oh it will be good again when he is not the President" that if you feel like that you are not paying attention. Look at the chaos and harm that has been inflicted by this administration, not just the man the whole damn administration. And this one is grossly incompetent. Every last member of the Administration from the President on down has a collective 3 brain cells and their all fighting for last place. But look what they have accomplished.
Imagine when hes gone, and someone with REAL brains and ambition and the know how to pair them together comes in. Imagine what they will accomplish. THAT is what keeps me up at night. Not the Ocher dotard. But the specter of whats to come.
