And so we descend...
And so we descend...
Every day, we hit a new low. I’ve stopped asking, "How much further can we descend?" because, without fail, the Ochre Dotard responds, "Hold my Diet Coke, I’ll show you!"
Take, for example, the disgraceful spectacle in the Oval Office just days ago, when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy—leader of a sovereign nation—was invited to the White House, only to be met with outright disrespect by our so-called President. In full view of the world’s cameras, he treated Zelenskyy with contempt, and it was nothing short of disgusting.
And did Republican senators and congresspeople stand up to condemn such a repugnant display? Did they acknowledge the irreparable harm this does to our standing on the global stage? Of course not. Instead, they immediately fell in line, parroting the President’s narrative—never mind that many had been staunchly pro-Ukraine just moments before.
Then there are the tariffs. China, Mexico, Canada—our so-called leader has imposed reckless economic policies that will do lasting damage here at home. Canada, one of our oldest and most reliable allies, is now caught in the crossfire, while he continues to speak glowingly of Putin and seemingly carry out his bidding with enthusiasm.
And so, we continue our decline. We abdicate our role as the leader of the free world and lurch full speed ahead into oligarchy. But let’s be clear—we are not a laughingstock. That would imply there’s something funny happening here. The world isn’t laughing; it’s realizing that the United States can no longer be trusted, that we are no longer reliable. The long-term consequences of this? Time will tell, but the prognosis is grim. And frankly, this is what we deserve—for failing to take the rise of Christo-fascism in this country seriously for the past 35+ years.
